Today, Blackwing introduced the fifth iteration of their quarterly Volumes series of pencils. This edtion, Volume 56, pays tribute to Joe Dimaggio's record-setting 56-game hitting streak in 1941.
The classic Blackwing pencil features firm graphite, a blue eraser, and a gold ferrule. According to the company, "The blue pinstripe barrel is a nod to the uniform he wore with the utmost class and dignity, while the gold imprint and ferrule draw inspiration from the Commissioner’s Trophy his Yankee squad hoisted at the end of that magical 1941 season."
